  • Op date

Today, I finally received the text with the date for Iz’s operation. It’s amusing, really—I’ve been waking up each morning for the past few weeks, telling myself, “Right, today I need to put my phone on loud; they’ll call with the news.” Then, almost immediately, I feel that familiar wave of anxiety wash over me, Read.

Iz has been experiencing some unexpected mucus poops since before Christmas, which I found concerning. Due to her condition, all waste comes out of her stoma, so any bowel movements are significant. • No Go

Well, today we made the decision with the help of a lovely lady from the pre-op assessment team to postpone Iz’s Reversal operation, which was scheduled for this week (9th Jan 2025). We’ve all had the flu, and Iz is still coughing. While she seems okay in herself, we don’t want to risk any complications Read.

  • Hello World!

Iz is just over 6 months old. My husband and I are full of cold and hoping, beyond hope, that we don’t pass it on to the kids… Especially Iz. Her op is scheduled a week today, and having already been cancelled, we really hope to not be delayed again. Of course, if the time Read.
