Welcome to my blog, where I share my journey as a Mum of three, navigating life with a baby girl born with An Anorectal Malformation/ Imperforate Anus. My name is Krys, and I am just an ordinary Mum trying to raise awareness and provide practical advice and knowledge for others going through a similar experience.

When my daughter Iz was born in June 2024, I was completely unprepared for the challenges that lay ahead. From her initial surgery to create a stoma, to the procedure to close it and get her new bottom working, our family has been on a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences.

Through this blog, I hope to process everything that has happened and share our journey honestly and openly. I understand the difficulty of finding practical advice and information on this topic, so I aim to provide a relatable perspective from a parent’s point of view.
