No Really…

I need a new bum; a designer bum; one that I can poop from, that kind of bum!

This is not in any way related to the books, this is just my story about my journey with my baby girl and her designer butt!

About

Welcome to our blog, where we share the incredible journey of Iz, who was born with an anorectal malformation in June 2024. Iz arrived 26 days early, weighing 5lbs 8oz, and was immediately faced with the challenge of missing a vital component – her anal opening. What followed was a whirlwind of tests, emergency surgery, and the creation of a stoma to help Iz thrive.

As we navigated the ups and downs of colostomy care and multiple surgeries to fashion Iz’s designer bum, we encountered amazing medical professionals and learned to embrace the new normal of our family life. Now, as we approach Iz’s stoma reversal and the hopeful debut of her new bottom, we invite you to join us on this journey of resilience, strength, and a whole lot of poop talk.

While the road ahead is uncertain, we face it with determination and humor, knowing that Iz’s future may be different but still full of possibilities. Stay tuned as we share our experiences and lessons learned, and together, we’ll challenge the taboos surrounding disability and celebrate every milestone, no matter how messy it may be. Thank you for joining us on this rollercoaster ride – we’re so grateful to have you along for the adventure.
